Import STP Files
STP files contain part geometry and assembly relationships. DTAS reads the hierarchy, enabling direct import of full assemblies for tolerance simulation—see Figures 1–2.
Single/Batch Import with Placement Control
Batch‑imported IGS/STEP files are treated as components of the same product assembly (see Figs. 3–4).
For bulk CAD‑to‑IGS/STEP conversion,
use TranslateTool to
boost efficiency (see Fig. 5).
Encrypted File Support
Many companies export encrypted
IGS/STEP files from CATIA for security. DTAS cannot read them unless it is
added to your system’s encryption authorization list. Please contact your IT
team to enable access.
Note: Direct interfaces for CATIA,
UG, and other native CAD formats are fully supported without encryption
restrictions.
